The Second weekend of Lent – “The Wood of the Cross.” Behold, behold the wood of the cross on which is hung our salvation.
O come, let us adore.
“Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone would come after me,
let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” Matthew 16:24.
Christ has offered Himself up on the cross in order to restore all of our creation.
All that was necessary to forgive sins has been accomplished by the cross of Christ.
Nevertheless, Lord, you invite us to deny ourselves and take up crosses of our own.
These crosses we carry transform our feeble plans and turn them into your far greater plans.

Jesus created the Sacrament of Reconciliation
to help us remember God’s unlimited mercy.
Take your family to Confession
so you can all know God’s forgiveness and make a new start on Easter.
